You will need to utilize a completely different controller/hub setup for the LL Series fans. The fans that come with your cooler have 8 RGB LEDs where the LL Series fans have more and the iCUE software controls fans based on LED counts. Mixing different RGB Series fans on the same controller is a no go. Corsair finally decided to send me another commander core for me to try after being on the phone with them for an hour. So now, 3 different commander cores and 2 different systems, and 10 different corsair RGB fans, RGB port #6 does not work, running latest versions of iCue, and forcing firmware updates etc. I was also at the time building a new AMD 5950x system, so I moved this water cooler over to that system. RGB Port #6 also doesn't work on commander core #3. I immediately returned the second H150i Elite Capellix, and got another one.

Wouldn't you know it, Commander Core #2, also wouldn't work in RGB Port #6, did the same trouble shooting. I didn't have a receipt for it, since it was a gift, and corsair wouldn't RMA me a new commander core initially, so I decided I'd just re-purpose the cooler for a different build and go buy another unit.

I did this through various other corsair RGB fans I had laying around, same issue. I moved the fan to another RGB slot on the commander core, and it lit up. The RGB on Fan #6 (the rear exhaust LL120) would flicker, and then eventually go out. It worked perfectly fine until April 2021. I installed it in my case, and hooked up the three fans that came with it to the radiator, as well as 2x LL140's and 1x LL 120 for my case exhaust fans.

I got a Corsair H150i Elite Capellix as a gift in December 2020. Ok, so cliff notes: Commander Core RGB Slot 6 is faulty with three different commander core units and have tried it with over 10 different Corsair RGB fans.
